May 24, 2010 – Spring Radishes
One of the first garden-planted crops of the year is radishes.

We even had enough for the veggie tray for the party from the garden! Now it’s time to get the rest of the garden in the ground.

Pretty! Even after restraining myself seeding the first round, we’re still drowning in radishes. I think a veggie tray sounds like just the solution!

I agree, how can you just plant 20 radishes? We tried grating them up – they were surprisingly good mixed with mashed potatoes – it tasted like something you’d pay for as part of $35 a plate in a restaurant!

When I was in Germany they always had grated radishes with salt on the tables for dinner and lunch and it was so good.
I forgot to take home some after the party. Nana
