June 7, 2005 – Summer’s Here
A 90 degree day and Claire is now begging for AC but the night air is closing in, so it is too late.
Found out that the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair is in central Wisconsin June 17-19, and some of us will be in Decorah, IA picking Claire up from music camp, so we’ll already be about half-way there. Hope to be able to make it work.
Emma is spending the week at Cyclone Basketball camp (mornings) and with a friend who participates in “Country Mouse/City Mouse” with Emma – one week in the city and one week on the farm. Former Cyclone and current Hornet Jackson Vroman commented that she had a good shot today! Flattery gets you everywhere!

Pregnant as I am, I gave in and turned on the AC yesterday!!! Not a luxury we’ll use all the time, but till baby comes in three weeks (or less!) I’m in heaven!!!! Today I’ll fix the pool (hopefully) and we’ll be in business for coping with the summer heat.
Farming here has become a strictly after 7 PM activity – thank goodness for long days!

I wouldn’t call it exactly BEGGING, more like pleading for my sanity. What’s the point of having AC if we don’t use it?
