March dawns crisp and cold – it has been for a few days. It has been a good time for the corn stove. It hasn’t been so cold that the propane furnace has needed to come on (in fact, it hasn’t been on for a few weeks), nor has it been so warm, that I’ve needed to turn the corn stove off. I found the conversion rate – one bushel of corn provides the same amount of heat as 5 gallons of propane. It’s still a bit of a mystery that the corn actually burns.
